Cybersecurity-first managed IT in Los Angeles
Gintellect is a Glendale-based cybersecurity and managed IT firm for small and mid-sized businesses across LA County. We run the security stack, the help desk, the Microsoft 365 tenant and the cameras on the ceiling — so one team is accountable when something breaks and when something attacks.

The platform we operate for LA businesses
Vendor names are shown to describe the platforms we deploy and manage. Partnership badges are added as they are formally awarded.
Your IT company keeps the lights on. It is not keeping attackers out.
Most small and mid-sized companies in Los Angeles are paying a managed service provider for help desk and patching, then discovering during a cyber insurance renewal or a client security questionnaire that nobody has ever actually looked at their identity controls, their backup immutability or their Microsoft 365 audit logging.
That gap is where the losses happen. Business email compromise does not break a firewall — it signs in with a valid password and a bypassed MFA prompt, sits in a mailbox for three weeks, then edits a wire instruction on an escrow email. The help desk never gets a ticket, because nothing is broken.
Gintellect was built the other way around. We start with the security architecture — identity, endpoint, email, data, recovery — and then run the day-to-day IT on top of it. Same team, same tenant, one accountability line.

One team for security, IT, cloud and the wiring in the walls
Every service below is delivered by the same engineers, on the same stack, under one agreement. No finger-pointing between your "IT guy", your "security vendor" and whoever installed the cameras.
Managed Detection & Response
24/7 monitoring of endpoints, identities and cloud sign-ins with a human analyst who isolates the machine at 3am instead of emailing you about it.
Learn more →Microsoft 365 Security
Conditional access, phishing-resistant MFA, tenant hardening, DLP and third-party backup for the platform your whole business already runs on.
Learn more →Managed IT & Help Desk
Unlimited remote support, patching, procurement, onboarding and offboarding for companies that would rather not hire a three-person internal team.
Learn more →Penetration Testing
Real, scoped testing of your external perimeter, internal network and Microsoft 365 tenant with a report your auditor and your board can both read.
Learn more →Compliance & Risk Assessments
SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC, NIST 800-171, PCI DSS and CCPA readiness — gap assessment, remediation roadmap, evidence collection, auditor hand-off.
Learn more →vCIO & vCISO Advisory
Budget, roadmap, risk register, policy set and board reporting from a named senior advisor — without a $250k executive hire.
Learn more →Physical Security & Infrastructure
Security cameras, access control, structured cabling, business WiFi and VoIP — installed on a segmented network and then actually maintained.
Learn more →Website Security, ADA & HIPAA
Hardening and malware removal on the site you already have, plus WCAG accessibility remediation and HIPAA-compliant forms and email.
Learn more →Business Email Setup
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, migrated cleanly and authenticated properly so nobody can send mail as your domain.
Learn more →Engineers who see your environment before they call you back
The difference between a help desk and an engineering team shows up in the first ninety seconds of a call. Ours open a ticket with your network diagram, your asset inventory and your recent change history already in front of them, because keeping that current is part of the job rather than a favour.
That same documentation is what makes an incident survivable, what makes a compliance audit routine, and what you take with you if you ever decide to leave.
From first call to fully covered in about 30 days
You do not have to be "ready." Most companies we onboard have a mix of legacy servers, unmanaged laptops and a Microsoft 365 tenant nobody has audited since 2021.
Discovery
A 30-minute call, then a read-only assessment of your identity, endpoint, email, backup and network posture. You get a written findings document whether or not you hire us.
Stabilize
We fix the things that would hurt most first: MFA gaps, local admin rights, exposed RDP, missing backups, unpatched edge devices. Usually days one through ten.
Standardize
Full agent deployment, documentation, tenant hardening, conditional access, security baselines, and a runbook for your environment. Days ten through thirty.
Improve
Quarterly vCIO reviews, a live risk register, budget planning, tabletop exercises and an annual test cycle. This is the part most providers skip.
We are in Glendale. Your engineer is not in another time zone.
There is a real difference between a national provider with a ticket queue and a team that can be at your office on Brand Boulevard, in Burbank, or downtown before lunch. When a switch dies, when a new hire needs a laptop imaged today, or when you need somebody physically standing in front of a compromised machine, distance matters.

Not in LA County?
We support remote-first and multi-site companies nationwide. If your headquarters is here and your people are everywhere, that is a normal client for us.
Regulated and deadline-driven businesses
Compliance requirements and downtime tolerance differ wildly by industry. These are the verticals where we do our deepest work.
Law Firms
Client confidentiality obligations, outside counsel guidelines, ABA Formal Opinion 483 duties, and document management systems that cannot go down during trial.
Law firm IT & security →Healthcare & Medical
HIPAA Security Rule safeguards, EHR uptime, business associate agreements, and breach notification exposure that starts at $141 per record and climbs fast.
Healthcare IT & HIPAA →Entertainment & Media
MPA content security expectations, pre-release asset protection, large-file workflows, and production schedules where a day of downtime costs six figures.
Studio & post IT →Financial & Accounting
FTC Safeguards Rule, SEC and FINRA expectations, wire fraud exposure, and the tax-season crunch where downtime is not an option.
Financial services IT →Technology & Startups
SOC 2 Type II on a deadline, enterprise security questionnaires blocking deals, and a distributed team that has never had managed IT.
Startup security →Everyone else
Manufacturing, logistics, nonprofits, real estate, architecture, professional services and private equity portfolio companies across LA County.
All industries →What we will put in writing
We are a newer firm and we are not going to invent a decade of awards. Here is what we will commit to contractually instead — which is more than most providers will.
Response-time SLAs with teeth
Written response targets by severity, measured and reported monthly. If we miss them, you see it in the report before you have to ask.
Security engineers, not resellers
Detection engineering, hardening and response are done by our own team. We tell you plainly which platforms we operate and which partners we escalate to.
A named senior advisor
You get a specific person for strategy and quarterly reviews — not a rotating account manager reading from a template deck.
No 36-month traps
Clear terms, transparent per-user pricing, documented exit process. If we are not earning the relationship, you should be able to leave.
Your documentation is yours
Network diagrams, passwords, licensing and runbooks are handed over on request, in a usable format. Vendor lock-in is not a retention strategy.
Frameworks we work in
NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, CIS Controls v8.1, SOC 2, HIPAA Security Rule, NIST 800-171 / CMMC, PCI DSS 4.0 and the CCPA/CPRA cybersecurity audit rules.

Common questions about working with Gintellect
What does Gintellect actually do?
We are a cybersecurity-first managed service provider (MSP/MSSP) based in Glendale, California. We take over the day-to-day IT for small and mid-sized businesses — help desk, patching, procurement, Microsoft 365, networks — and we run the security program on top of it: 24/7 threat detection and response, identity hardening, email security, backup and recovery, vulnerability management, compliance readiness and incident response.
How much do managed IT and cybersecurity services cost in Los Angeles?
Fully managed IT with an integrated security stack generally lands between $135 and $250 per user per month in the Los Angeles market, depending on the tooling required, compliance obligations, server and site count, and how much on-site presence you need. Security-only engagements and co-managed arrangements price differently. We publish a detailed breakdown in our guide to what managed IT services cost in Los Angeles, and we quote a fixed per-user number after discovery — not an hourly meter.
Do you replace our current IT provider or work alongside them?
Either. Fully outsourced is the common path for companies under about 150 employees. If you already have an internal IT manager or a small team, our co-managed IT model gives them our tooling, our 24/7 SOC coverage and senior escalation, while they keep ownership of the relationship with the business.
We think we are being attacked right now. What do we do?
Call 747-240-9900 immediately. Do not wipe machines, do not delete suspicious emails, and do not pay anything. Preserving evidence matters for both recovery and your insurance claim. See our incident response page for the first-hour checklist.
How fast can you onboard us?
Emergency stabilization can start the same week. A standard full onboarding — agent deployment, documentation, tenant hardening, backup validation and knowledge transfer — runs about 30 days for a typical 25 to 100 person company with one or two sites.
Which areas of Los Angeles do you cover on site?
All of LA County, with same-day dispatch to Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, Downtown LA, Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley, the Westside, and the South Bay. See our service areas page for the full list.
